Job Summary
We are actively seeking detail-oriented, energetic individuals to join our e-commerce fulfillment team. As an Online Order Picker, your entire shift will be spent on the move, utilizing smart routing software to pull grocery items for multiple orders simultaneously. You will serve as the quality control expert, delivering the signature freshness that sets us apart in the grocery retail industry. This is an active, physical role where your ability to make smart product substitutions is highly valued.
Comprehensive Responsibilities
- Batch Picking: Navigate the store pushing a specialized picking cart, scanning and selecting items for up to 6 different online orders at once.
- Smart Substitutions: Utilize critical thinking to select appropriate substitute items (e.g., a different brand of organic milk) when the requested item is out of stock, messaging the customer for approval.
- Perishable Selection: Hand-pick the freshest produce, checking for bruises or blemishes, and ensuring cold-chain items are picked last to preserve temperature.
- Staging & Logistics: Pack bags logically (separating chemicals from food) and stage them in the appropriate temperature-controlled holding zones.
