Job Summary
We are actively seeking detail-oriented, fast-moving individuals to serve as Lead Cashiers. In this role, you will run a primary register while simultaneously authorizing price overrides, providing change to other cashiers, and handling complex customer payments. You will work closely with front-end management to ensure that all cash-handling protocols are strictly followed day in and day out. Comprehensive Responsibilities
- Transaction Expertise: Operate a high-speed checkout lane, scanning bulk items rapidly and ensuring accurate cash, WIC, and EBT processing.
- Register Support: Carry supervisor swipe cards or codes to rapidly authorize voids, price overrides, and complex returns for junior cashiers.
- Till Management: Assist management with opening and closing register tills, providing change to cashiers, and conducting safe drops to secure excess cash.
- Peer Training: Shadow and train new cashier hires, teaching them the PLU codes for produce and the fastest scanning techniques.
